Rimasti i soli abitanti di un piccolo paese di pescatori ormai spopolato, Lucia, un’anziana vedova, e il pescatore Peppino, vivono nella speranza che l’inverno non finisca. Si fanno compagnia durante le lunghe sere invernali. A unirli non è solo la solitudine, ma un amore mai confessato, nascosto al mondo e a loro stessi. Tutto cambia quando la figlia di Lucia chiede alla madre di trasferirsi da lei per affittare il suo appartamento ai turisti d’estate e risolvere così i loro problemi economici.
(My home) In an empty small village Lucia, an elderly widow, and Peppino, an old angler, live in the hope that winter will never end. They keep company during the long winter evenings. They’re close not only because of the loneliness, but thanks to a love never confessed, hidden to the world and to themselves, too. Everything changes when Lucia’s daughter asks her mother to move from her house to rent the flat to summer tourists, solving their economic problems.

A father and a daughter in mourning. He’s crushed by the loss of his wife and incapable of taking care of her, young Adele finds herself completely alone. That’s why she starts to hide in a “magic trunk”, capable of taking her back to the life and the mother she’s lost.

Ilde non conoscerà Sofia, come era stato organizzato, ma un’altra ragazza che dovrà, suo malgrado, interpretare un ruolo. Forse è vero che non tutti i mali vengono per nuocere.
(In her place) Leone is 35 years-old and he’s nervously waiting for his mother, Ilde, who comes to meet Leone’s girlfriend, Sofia, that isn’t so worried. But Ilde will meet another girl, on behalf of Sofia, who will start a funny role play game. Maybe it’s true that every cloud has a silver lining.

Una rappresentazione parodistica di un raffinato vernissage frequentato dall’alta società che si trasforma in un grottesco e ironico assalto al buffet. Impavidi camerieri al servizio del proprio Paese affrontano l’insaziabile fame dei commensali in un’epica, tragicomica battaglia senza pietà. Una metafora pervasa di surreale ironia sull’umana barbarie, l’ipocrisia e l’individualismo che divorano il nostro Paese.
A parodic representation of a refined vernissage of the upper class people that turns into a grotesque and hilarious assault on the Buffet. A handful of brave fighters “at the service” of his country is ready to face the insatiable hunger “for power” of the guests, in an epic, tragicomic and merciless battle. A metaphor, pervaded by surreal irony, the new human barbarity, hypocrisy, and individualism that has devoured our beautiful country.

Leone è un bambino che frequenta le scuole elementari e, poiché ha avuto un bel voto a scuola, chiede ai genitori un premio speciale: una bambola vestita di rosa, Candie. I genitori vanno in crisi, nel dubbio tra accontentarlo e farlo giocare con la bambola desiderata o cercare di indirizzarlo verso giochi più “maschili”.
Leone is a child at the primary school. He has recently received a good mark, so he wants to ask to his parents a special gift: the pink dressed doll ‘Candie’. His parents fall in crisis, in the doubt between satisfying him and leave him playing with the desired doll or trying to direct him to some games that are more “masculine”.
Djinn Tonic – 14’ 20’’, regia di Domenico Guidetti, Italia, 2016, special guest Francesco Pannofino
Simone è un giovane precario senza più aspirazioni, mentre Djinn è un genio della lampada dei tempi antichi ridotto ad esaudire desideri in uno squallido ufficetto di periferia. Il primo vuole un lavoro, il secondo vuole solo portare a termine il suo e strappare più desideri possibili a Simone per ottenere altrettanti anni di vita. Entrambi i personaggi scappano da una crisi: il primo da quella economica, più prosaica, tipica dei nostri tempi, e il secondo da una “crisi dell’immaginazione” che forse è la conseguenza della prima.
Simone is a young and ambitionless unemployed man, and the titular Djinn is an ancient and powerful genie that is reduced to grant wishes in a small suburban office. The first of the two wishes for a job, whereas the second only wishes to steal as many wishes as possible to his “customer”, to obtain as many years of life for himself. Both characters are running from a crisis: Simone from the economic depression and Djinn from a crisis of the imagination that, perhaps, is a direct consequence of the first.

Gionatan ha 9 anni e vive nei sobborghi romani, a Ponte di Nona, con un padre violento e una madre succube del marito. Dopo l’ennesima aggressione che la donna si fa curare al Pronto Soccorso, il bambino pensa a un modo per aiutarla e corre a cercare Secco, un criminale noto nel suo quartiere, per convincerlo a dargli una mano con uno stratagemma.
(Gionatan with a G) Gionatan is 9 years old who lives in a Roman suburb, Ponte di Nona, with a violent father and a succubus mother of the husband. After another aggression that the women does care in the Hospital, the child thinks about a way to help her and runs to look for Secco, a criminal known in his neighborhood, to convince him to help him with a ruse.

La donna gli rende più semplice dimenticare la solitudine per qualche minuto, ma un giorno il ragazzo vuole di più e la invita ad uscire. Nonostante la non risposta di Bijou, Charles si prepara per questo insolito appuntamento. Alla fine, le incertezze di Charles porteranno alla luce la relazione complicata che il ragazzo ha con il suo corpo e con il cibo.
Charles is a complex boy. He feels so much lonely that every night he calls an erotic line, asking for just one person: Bijou. The woman help him to forget his loneliness for a few minutes, but one day the boy wants more and invites her to come out. Even if Bijou does not say yes, Charles prepares for this unusual date. In the end, Charles’s uncertainties will bring to light the complicated relationship the boy has with his body and with the food.

Marco è un testimone di giustizia costretto a pagare le conseguenze di una scelta giusta. Lui e la sua famiglia sono obbligati a vivere nell’ombra, tra la minaccia dei carnefici e la mancanza di protezione dallo Stato. Matteo, il figlio di Marco, come tutti i bambini gioca e sogna. Il suo desiderio è salvare un soldatino che sta annegando in un mare creato con un pezzo di stoffa azzurra. L’unica speranza per aiutare l’uomo in mare è un elicottero giocattolo che il bambino chiede al padre. Marco fa di tutto per realizzare quel sogno scontrandosi con sua moglie e, soprattutto, con la sua coscienza.
